Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

Probably the biggest grower on the album. It’s mostly because a lot of what makes this song amazing is the subtlety of it. Nothing REALLY stands out, but the bass lines on here from Junior Dan and the falsetto make this a really unique sounding track. The lyrics on here are also beautifully simplistic and might be some of Damon’s most important lyrics. They’re really optimistic but also very aware. He’s essentially saying that it’s OK to change and grow as a person and for people to unify, but they should also be themselves. Don’t let people around you impact you so much that you don’t have internal visions and emotions. It’s important to care about the people around you, but it’s also important to understand yourself.
