Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.3/100, a mean average of 89.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.8.

One of my favorites from Zeppelin’s first three records. Unbelievable bass work. (Edited)
Yes it does a bit, the lyrics let it down, but a fantastic composition.
This track should be as well known as Stairway to Heaven. One of my all time favorites. (Edited)
One of their best songs and they all play amazing especially John Paul Jones with the bass in the intro. (Edited)
Zeppelin perfection: where every member contributes their best and the whole still exceeds the sum of its parts. (Edited)
One of these classics I just can't get into...sadly. I ight even call it my least favourite track on the album. And that is a shame, considering it's cult status. (Edited)
One of their most iconic songs and one of JPJ's best basslines (Edited)
Anybody who doesn't think John Paul Jones belongs in the top echelon of rock bassists has never listened to this song. Here he proves he may well be the most essential member of the group, despite being flanked by three other hard rock icons. (Edited)
I love acoustic Zep and I love rockin Zep and I love when they mix both together in an epic song like this. I love this and a few other tracks more than Stairway to Heaven. (Edited)
How do I explain this? For the first time in my life, I don't know. It's just really good. (Edited)
