Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.6/100, a mean average of 88.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.7.

Not only the best U2 song but one of the best song ever written.

A good opener, that's a rattling good guitar.
The sound of the guitar is just other-worldly. It's very simple to play, but it's almost impossible to make it sound as good as the Edge makes it sound. Their performance of this song at the Superbowl half time show is probably my favourite live song ever.
The greatest guitar intro ever? There is no words to describe how it feels when you hear it.
Best live track ever
The Edge has done magic here.
One of their best songs

Often gets me in the mood for a different kind of album. That revelatory intro is beyond gorgeous! Fortunately the rest of the song is just as lofty.
Best way to open an album
fantastic track!!
