Despite a great bunch of tracks and one of the most perfect openers this side of the heavy and epic magic music (come on, those changes in pace in Holy Wars...The Punishment Due do make the song excellent) this album can't reach my chart because of the cover. It makes the most less than serious and come on... a skeleton? Just cause you're making hardman brvtal guitar smashing music doesn't mean you have to resort to putting a skeleton on the cover. Still... it did make the chart a few times.
Haven't listened in a good while either. I may have gone off all music like this, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest right now though.

... only 3. Anthrax did not deserve the same stage. Exodus came too late to their own party and honestly couldn't touch Kill Them All. Testament & Overkill were too derivative and are currently playing a House of Blues near you.

Eheh I agree for the cover, though it's stupid to not love an album just for the cover.
And yeaaa, this is one of my favourite metal albums, I can't find a single error in. Mind-blowing.

To me megadeth and anthrax lacked the hard and heavy talent in a big way to metallica and slayer and i don't like belladonna at all. I do like polaris on this record though.

Maybe it's because Dave Mustaine is a tool on the same rare level that only the likes of Ted Nugent can claim.... _________________ May we all get to heaven

Doesn't stop two Billy Corgan albums from being in the top 100.

Mustaine is a tool in an entirely different way. _________________ May we all get to heaven

I'm trying to figure out which is the more irrelevant reason for not liking Rust in Peace. Is it A) Dave Mustaine being a (supposed) asshole or B) Rattlehead on the cover and being a second-rate Eddie (i.e. Iron Maiden's mascot)? Thinking. Thinking. Falling asleep. Asleep.
