Sorry for missing two weeks of this guys, but my other activities have really been distracting me. I'll be back periodically, but a lot of financial woes to take care of offsite and a focus on my writing has put me away from music for a spell.

We'll have a whip-round Gowi. Hope things pick up soon.

As for this Album Listening Club thing, is there an initiation ceremony or challenge to do to join? Quite frankly most of the records that have been posted thus far are guff and I think I could better.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

You're welcome to sign up for a week and do an album of your own choosing

How very kind. I'll eagerly await my membership pack.

Stick me in for whenever to 'do' my chosen album. I'm not fussy.

Moving the recent archival and reissue discussion from ALC16 #6 over there. I think reissues are a gray area where maybe they should get pitched in this thread to see if there's a consensus on what Mecca was saying about obscurity making it basically a new release for most. I think archival releases (never previously released) should be valid always. I can discuss in more detail after class.

I'm against it, but in fear of retreading a disrespectful conversation with shit implications I'm going to abstain from deciding what the ALC members decide.

I'm probably leaning towards the against side, but fuck it do what you will. My phone is currently out of action, and since that's what I mainly listen to new music on I've been unable to catch up on all the ALC picks I've wanted to. I have all the threads bookmarked so I'll offer some sort of thoughts on each at some point.

Personally I'm saying nay on reissues but yay on archivals (and maybe yay on reissues that differ significantly from the original release), but ultimately
