Afternoon all,
Sitting in a bar waiting for the footie to start and just looking through the releases for RSD 2015. There's a few gems in there, specifically these which I'm desperate to get:

Anne Briggs by Anne Briggs
I've mentioned this to a couple of others before but wondered if any UK BEAers (or any travelling non-Brits who are up for a weekend away!) fancied a meet-up on 18th. London would be the best bet - I was thinking Honest Jons -> Rough Trade West -> tube to Soho for Sounds Of The Universe -> Sister Ray if anyone fancies joining. Was originally thinking Brum but can't traipse that far as wife has decided to arrange something for the evening (yeah, lucky me - soz Skinny man/Suede).
Regardless of the above, anyone got their eyes on any of the releases? There's a list courtesy of Rough Trade here - quite fancy I Hate The Rich by The Dils (one of my fave US punk 45s) too... _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

Someday I'll get to London for RSD, someday...
Enjoy it though, hopefully I can dig up something neat in Cork that day, must have a proper look at releases. _________________

Well it is if you can get down to London, chap. I can't get to Brum and as all you lot seem to be north of the Watford gap (Skinny, JoD, etc). I suggest you all hire a minibus and come on down. If not I'll be fighting through the queues of scenesters in their skinny jeans on my Jack Jones just to get my grubby mitts on some folk they couldn't give a toss about. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

It's here! Post what music you splurged on today as you buy it.
So what you won't be able to eat this week? At least you got the "Bad Days" 10" right? - For what I think is a comprehensive list of the special RSD releases see here http://recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases EDIT: or the link NWJ already posted
I went a little early and bought Thriller (MJ), Talking Book (Stevie), Purple Rain (Prince) (3 albums I've wanted on vinyl for a while) and Nikki Nack (tUnE-yArDs), because it was super cheap, yesterday. But I'll be going on a crazy spree later.

Thanks to a shitty virus that's given me a constant headache for the last 48 hours I'd be lucky to get out of bed, let alone to London for RSD. Totally fucking pissed off. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

Wah Shitty.
I won't be doing RSD this year. It's becoming more stressful than enjoyable. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

First thing's first, you guys should all read this article about how Record Store Day and the newly resurgent record industry is terrible for independent artists.
Now that I've used that soapbox - not really psyched about anything that hard this year, but these are my picks:
Mark Kozalek - What's Next To The Moon
Rough Guide To Psychedelic India
The Saints - Eternally Yours
Vampire Weekend - Step
Field Music - Music For Drifters
The Pop Group - Versions Galore EP
Sun Ra - Planets Of Life Or Death: Amiens '73
Frank Zappa - Overture From Frank Zappa's 200 Motels _________________ ~❅ ❄ ❆ hµM△₪ FESTIVE †®å§h ❆ ❄ ❅~

I went to my local record store, thinking it was today. (It's tomorrow). I got to see the store all prepped and stocked. Unfortunately, I spent all my money already (got The Who Sell Out and a few bargains).
