A little bit bloated in my opinion, but some monumental moments on here like Til I Collapse, Without Me, and one of his best songs Sing For The Moment. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

what a coincidence, I just brought this back from the record store today... only b/c I'm trying to collect every album in the top 1000 on this site though, not b/c it's good :p
I loved this when I was a kid though but honestly I don't think it got much play over the slim shady lp or marshal mathers lp. I think he takes himself too seriously on this one (and I know it's not even that serious, but that's how seriously I take him, lol).
there are so many better rap albums than this. I hereby replace this with Mecca and the Soul Brother for AOTD! it happened, it's official, get over it! my work here is done, that'll be twenty dollahs.....
EDIT: wow that PF review was absolutely brilliant!

Bloated with some missteps (Drips...) and this was the beginning of the end for Eminem's credible work for me.

really though, albums that have had this much publicity and marketing and even news coverage (I really don't know why em was all over the damn news) shouldn't get to be album of the day. it's already over represented.
the more advertising an album gets, the more it will be heard, the more charts it will be on, the higher ranking it'll have - but "the more advertising an album gets" has nothing to do with how good it is - therefore advertising SHOULDN'T affect ranking so maybe albums should get docked points relative to how much advertising they get to compensate. maybe then "sigh no more" wouldn't be in our top 500... maybe Common's Resurrection would be higher than eminem show....
