Up until I've joined this site I didn't knew this compilation existed. I never saw it in any record store in my country.

Fair enough, if it was up to me and for my personal enjoyment I would put Dust n' bones instead of Live and let die and Coma instead of The garden for the first half that covers UYI1. For the second half I would take Knockin' on heavens door out and put So fine.

To me Coma is the biggest missing piece of the puzzle here and I would have it closing any Guns N Roses comp let alone a UYI comp. It's true that Live and Let Die and Knockin On Heaven's Door were hits for them so it makes sense why they are on this record but they've become a lot less interesting to me than Coma.

The last 2:30/3:00 of Coma are fucking breathtaking honestly.

This is an American only release. It was made specifically to be sold at large retail outlets (like WalMart) who refused to sell the original albums because of their volume of profanity. The songs on this compilation are most of the ones that contain no profanity (I think there's one word that slipped by on the entire disc ). It wasn't made to be a great comp...it was made so that Use Your Illusion could be sold to more people who wanted clean versions. The only reason I can see for Axl (the rest of the band that made Illusion were gone by this point except for a keyboard player) to have allowed this would be that the band hadn't released any new material in 6 years with nothing new in the near future, and the cash couldn't hurt.

This is kind of the equivalent of a K-Tel budget release. Just without the cheap K-Tel pricing.
