It's been a while since I listened to this and all the songs seem to meld together in my mind. But I do remember loving this album when I first listened. Even more so than Transformer. While I feel Transformer has a few standout songs, I think this one is overall stronger. Need to listen again to see if that opinion still holds

Pretty much agree. I maybe slightly prefer Transformer nonetheless, given I really like the majority of tracks. Berlin works better as a complete piece though. It's a bit dark for heavy rotation but always impressive when I revisit. The second half is particularly hard hitting.

It is a little dark but I love it.
Easily my fave Lou Reed album.
Is in my top 100.
