This is actually my favorite Talking Heads studio album. Their sound expanded a lot in later albums, but for whatever reason, I think Byrne's vocals seem the best on this release, and the rawer sound works for them. All that said, I love a good portion of their catalog, and their live albums are some of the best out there.
"Psycho Killer" is a clear standout, but "Don't Worry About the Government" is another highlight. I would also highly recommend the 2005 re-release, the "bonus" tracks are all equal in quality to the album, especially the single "Love → Building on Fire" which was released prior to Talking Heads: 77, and the acoustic version of "Psycho Killer" which contains (what I believe to be) a fantastic cello part. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

Not sure I would call it exactly a favourite but it's definitely on par with Fear of Music and Remain In Light which are the best TH albums, so it's somewhere in the top 3 for sure.
Other than the tracks mentioned, I love absolutely love the opener and The Book I Read, they are so quirky and charming. _________________ All time
