Shockingly, this is the White Stripes album I often come back to nowadays, if only because it's the one I didn't play the heck out of when I was 16.
BEST TRACK: Rag & Bone

Rag & Bone is my favourite track too. This album was an improvement on GBMS, but inferior to the first four albums. Pretty forgettable on the whole.

Below average for a Jack White project, but still better than 90% of most music.

Not often regarded as one of The White Stripes better albums, but I think it's right up there. Maybe not quite on the level of Elephant and White Blood Cells, but I think it's damn close. 300 MPH Torrential Outpour Blues is one of Jack's best pure blues songs. A couple of the songs don't quite work all that well, but on the whole it's another winner from maybe the most consistent artist of the 2000's considering his massive output. Other favorite songs: Bone Broke, Rag And Bone, Little Cream Soda, Catch Hell Blues.

This is my favorite White Stripes album, followed closely by Elephant. Doesn't have the great singles that the others do, but the delivery in Little Cream Soda is hauntingly superb (AND THEN GOD SCREAMS TO ME "THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO TELL YOU"), and Catch Hell Blues is the best "All Apologies" since "All Apologies." It's just rougher and grungier than their others, which is a plus in my book.

I really dislike most of this album. My least favourite album by the White Stripes. I don't really have much of a reason why.
