Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 4% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.6/100, a mean average of 75.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.5.

An underrated album after the first 2 tracks. While those two are great, they have a larger standing as a pair and not album tracks, unlike Bohemian Rhapsody where it just fits on ANATO. Sheer Heart Attack is good. All Dead, All Dead is good. Spread Your Wings is a masterpiece. Fight From The Inside is good, and still the weakest song on the album. Get Down, Make Love is great, and leaves you kinda wondering why. Sleeping On The Sidewalk in the same way. Who Needs You is there to balance it out. And then It’s Late. By word what a track! And My Melancholy Blues is possibly Mercury’s best vocal performance ever. And don’t even get me started on the album cover. Would make for one of the greatest albums simply by that.
All in all, while not the best Queen record in terms of “Queen” the best album they produced.
(Those looking for bonus tracks, I recommend Feelings, Feelings, which would have been perfect on this album, and We Will Rock You Fast Version.)
3rd track in Punk style. 77 year is Punk year. All play Punk
Tracks 5-7 are best
Solid record

Overall a fairly uninspiring album. We are the Champions is lovely, We Will Rock You is very overrated (but the guitar solo is great). A few other decent highlights (It's Late, Who Needs You surprisingly I quite enjoyed) but overall it's not a great album in my view
Spread Your Wings is super underrated, and I like two first tracks, the rest is not so special.
A front heavy album with some great songs that are a little less well known by people who aren't Queen fans that deserve recognition. There are obviously the two big songs right at the start but then after that you get All Dead, All Dead and Spread Your Wings which are just brilliant. This is mainly due to the incredible vocal by Mercury and a not so shockingly good vocal performance from Brian May especially if you have heard '39. May on the guitar is brilliant as well for most of this record and some of his solos really elevate the album such as on It's Late where he really lets loose and we are really rewarded for this. However, what lets this album down is the filler content which there is quite a lot of. Tracks like Fight From The Inside and Get Down, Make Love really drag the record down in terms of quality and they are very boring tracks. There are a few more songs like this as well but these two are the weakest for me. It can also get a bit repetitive and you can guess where the music is going to go. Overall, I don't think this is their best album nor is it near them but there is a lot of hidden gems to find on here and it is an enjoyable experience.
Two absolute rock evergreens. A really frontloaded album. B-side contains mostly B-grade stuff..
I love "Sheer Heart Attack" and "Spread Your Wings". Two of the first tracks and two of the last are very good too. But there are some tracks that i don't enjoy at all.
Very good album from Queen. A lot of deep tracks to discover. Spread your wings is one of my all time favourite Queen song.
