Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 65.7/100, a mean average of 65.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.4.

There 's an undeniable element of nostalgia, but I would hardly listen to it nowadays.
i like this, yep that's right.everyone has different tastes and listenin habits.get over it u haters.im not a fan of lets join the bandwagon of likin led boring zeppelin or most overated bank pink Floyd or I wanna kill my self radiohead . posers music.

If you're going to dismiss the entire genre of oasis-influenced soft rock as trite and appealing only to teen girls, then you're going to probably agree with the low rating of this album. That's not something I can entirely fault you for as there's a lot of crap from this genre and time period that refuses to die (thanks Ed Sheeran)
That said, if you're willing to overlook those connotations, Blunt has some pretty tunes in the first half of this album. Some of these are memorable pop songs from the early 2000s that I remember fondly, and I refuse to feel shame for that. "You're Beautiful" is a cute love song, "Goodbye My Lover" is probably his most popular and most hated song, but I remember getting it after it's appearance in an episode of "The Office" and listened to it a bunch as it resonated me at the time. Many of the other songs are enjoyable listens, it's not terrible background or study music.
This record has it's place. It's not a groundbreaking Radiohead record that takes dozens of listens to digest and is challenging, but that doesn't mean it's talent-less trash music. In fact, outside of the level of BEA pretentiousness this is actually a well reviewed album.
I'm not saying this is going to blow your mind or added anything groundbreaking to the face of music but to completely pan it as trash is an overreaction.

The girl I was dating back then tortured me with this shit for months. One of the worst albums I've ever heard. Those 5 points out of 100 are for being hilarious on Twitter, and for knowing and admitting that he sucks.
Boring, uninspired pop rock

Great pop rock/folk rock album. Best 10 songs average is 94,3/100 and the album can get great 95/100. Best and full scoring songs are "High", "You're beautiful" and "Wisemen", followed by "Goodbye my lover", "Tears and rain" and "So long, Jimmy" all 90/100. All other songs good 85/100. Favourite!

Some good ones but also there are some not-so-good ones.
Average.
Grrrrrrr
