Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 58.5/100, a mean average of 58.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 58.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 26.0.

This album was so good do not understand why the ratings are so low. Guess the hipsters on this site only like their generic indie bands.

Gaga was at the height of her fame when this album was due - two great pop albums, the overlong and undercooked The Fame with its soaring singles followed quickly by the The Fame Monster when the wider world came round to what a talent she possessed.

It seems that Born this Way is struggling to live up to the hype Lady Gaga herself believed in. A massive statement of a lead single (that drew obvious parallels to Madonna - much to each diva’s chagrin) and way too many ideas fleshing out the track list - it’s way too long and there exists a “deluxe” album that has 3 additional filler songs inserted randomly within the track list itself. Songs like Scheise are fun, but could have been resigned to a bonus disc. Songs like Bad Kids are downright terrible.

I like Electric Chapel a lot, the excellent Yoü & I, Edge of Glory seem to attempt to defy the classic pop trope of front loading your album and Marry the Night is infectious. To properly give it its dues. I can bypass the ham fisted lyrics and enjoy Express Yourself. Erm, wait... I mean “Born this Way”.

An album that weirdly springs to life just as it's ending.

The lyrics are trying too much and lack any subtlety, but still are better than most mainstream pop.
The voice is exactly how it should be, nothing to complain about.
The music is also far from mainstream pop, but also far from my taste, even though there are some noteworthy songs. If I had to pick one, I would go with "You and I". Anyway, I can't say I regret for giving it a shot and I wouldn't call it a waste of time, but on the other hand it isn't an album I am going to revisit.

Provou que era mais do que um álbum. Mensagem para LGBT+ e para qualquer um que curte uma pista de dança.

More empowering than enjoyable and certainly more empowering than original; I genuinely had to check whether Madonna didn’t write some of these songs.
Weird? As a former Will.I.Am fan, I can say: not so much.

One of the greatest albums of all time. Lady Gaga at the height of her career (so far) didn't follow the radio trends to make another hit album but she used her power to influence the political state. Preaching about LGBTQ+ Rights, Feminism, Immigration, depression, religion, betrayal, self-liberation, death... It truly was ahead of its time. From the masterpiece that is "Marry The Night" arguably her greatest songs to the finale that is "The Edge Of Glory" a powerful ballad that can power a stadium ...this album defines a generation. Other highlights include the synth-pop "Heavy Metal Lover" and the dark fan-favorite "Bloody Mary" Lady Gaga is looked down upon as a female popstar but she isn't just another Britney Spears... she is a true artist with a lot more to offer.

All songs are great but kind of weird. A little bit too weird actually, so I'm docking five points.
