Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I love this album.
Please do not judge this album based on Run the World. It is clearly the worst track coming from someone who has listened to the whole album dozens of times.
This has some of her best songs, Countdown being my all time favorite but also Best I Never Had, Start Over, and Love on Top are highlights.
forget about the self titled and lemonade, this right here is bey in her musical peak
It's pretty decent, a solid pop album, there are some interesting things going on the production. The lyrics are very simple and the album is easygoing, but there are low points on some ballads like "I Care" and "I Miss You" that can sound boring, and of course "Run the World (Girls)", the worst of the album. There are great songs like "Love on Top", "Countdown" and "1+1", plus Beyonce makes justice to the retro sound with her vocals.

Admittedly I'm 4 years late to comment on this. Like the album. Even Like Run The World. Think it's sample from Pon De Floor mixed with percussion works well, especially in clubs and it's a great track when performed live.
Gets a lot of criticism for being pro woman. So what?

It's solid. I wouldn't call it refreshing, and suffers from being overlong. I could've done without Run The World, I'll admit.
She needs to do more albums like this
Punishing this album mostly for 'Run the World'.
Some sins can't be forgiven.
