This album almost screams Damon Albarn in your face the entire time. This is actually a major plus in my book. A part-time gig from Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, this album actually makes for a much better spiritual successor to Demon Days then Plastic Beach ever did. The centerpiece of this album is the wonderfully done Work, which has this incredible catchy piano beat. Another good thing about this album is how well it gels together. Professional production never puts this album in any awkward spots. it flows nearly flawlessly from the start into the great closer Church (another possible link to Demon Days with their own closing mantra) that I would love to see live.
