Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Not as well as conditions
Good album but doesn't do as much for me as their first album Conditions.. There are no such gems as 'Sweet Disposition', but it is still a well formed album and the top tracks for me are: Rabbit Hole', Trembling Hands,The Sea is Calling.
Whilst it doesn't have the same high points as their debut (Sweet Disposition, Fader, Love Lost), it does fare better as an album (their debut was bad as an album imo).
A cohesive pop album, but with nothing really standing out or anything particularly memorable.
It's worth noting that the better tracks are towards the end.
