Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 49.1/100, a mean average of 46.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 46.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 24.2.

Not horrible but forgettable. Payphone has a personal connection to me, and some songs are okay (The Man Who Never Lied and Beautiful Goodbye), but most is a filler platform for radio singles.

Maroon 5 is usually able to pull out a few standout tracks, but on this album, the standout tracks aren't too standout.

The Maroon 5 radio hit machine chugs along. Recognizing the growing popularity of rap, Maroon 5 does some features to stay on top of the charts.

The singles that make it big are catchy good like always. The album itself sucks like always.

Take Maroon 5 for what it is. Each album has 2 or 3 catchy good radio singles and the rest is trash

Really not that bad compared to most of the shitty pop groups that take over the radio. This group is at least talented and can make some listenable music. Some good catchy songs on here, some horrible songs too though.

Really liked the first half of the album. But in the second half there are a few songs that ruins the album
