I tend to not think of this as a compilation, but rather all the songs the Vaseline's produced at one time. Fantastic album from beautiful songwriters.

Oh how I wish I could include this in my chart but due to self-inflicted tight judgement criteria (i.e. no compilations) I alas cannot. Which is a pity, as The Vaselines were f'ing amazing. I say were, as I saw them at XOYO last year and their new stuff is pretty dire in comparison. Highlight is undoubtedly 'Dying For It', which whilst in hospital whacked out on morphine due to meningitis and waiting for an MRI scan I could have sworn the nurse operating the machine was playing. I was going to strike up a conversation, and wish I had because they spent 10 minutes pumping Elton Fucking John into my earholes whilst I was in this godforsaken tube of terror.
The band that inspired so many great and diverse bands. This is a brilliant album with so many great songs on it.
Good collection of songs. I had to check them out after i heard Nirvana's versions of Son Of A Gun and Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam. These songs along with Teenage Superstars are my personal favorites.
