was unsure at first when I first heard it played it several times since my favourite album of 99' best tracks Turn,Writing to reach you,Why Does it always rain,Driftwood
The Best track on this album is the hidden track on the limited edition, "Blue Flashing Light."
"Last Laugh Of The Laughter" is also a great song.
Sounds as bleak as the cover looks. And I mean that as a compliment.
Sounds beautiful to my ears
An album which grew slowly in the public mind, rising gradually the top of the charts and then staying there for months. The reason is simple; great songwriting.
When they do write a great song it truly stays with me. I can treasure some of the singles that were released from here. Driftwood is by far my favorite. Nice, soft and poignant.
In one ear, out the other.
The excellence of this album lies in it's melancholic basis and sense of desolation that pervades every track, but juxtaposed with the big tunes and singalong choruses...and that's why everyone loved it.
But having gained that success, they went pop with other releases... like a brand that has forgotten the reason why people loved them in the first place, they became mediocre. Come on Travis, get Miserable!
