The Silos, led by rock singer-songwriterWalter Salas-Humara, garnered lots of attention in the late 1980s for their self-released Cuba album. That record earned them a contract with major label RCA.
This is an excellent follow-up to their outstanding Cuba album. It's straight-forward rock music with folky songwriting. The lyrics may be too simplistic or cryptic for the listener's liking, but the lyrics sung in Spanish are a really nice bonus and unfortunately a rarity in rock music.
So should you give this underated recording a try, or better yet, check out their Cuba album?
