Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 23% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.9/100, a mean average of 72.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.6.

Kudos to Cypress Hill. They had a complete original sound of their own with this debut album. Fantastic grooves with a slight heavy overtone. How can you not love it? How can you not groove to it? Top class.
10 th rap album within a week, enuff already =(;(
Classic rap album. Very original in its day.
It's not all great, but most of it is.
The birth of a whole new hip-hop sound.
I was really hoping that How I Could Just Kill A Man wasn't the highlight after listening to it... Turns out it was.
Cypress Hill show that Latinos can do it too.
How I Could Just Kill a Man is one of the best 'street' themed tracks ever.
Still working on getting this. Will re-rate after more listening!
lots of this really hazy, bassy production reminds me of Enter the 36 Chambers except it came out two years earlier! Most golden age hip-hop can't lay claim to beats anywhere near this aggro and funky and B-Real's delivery alternates between hilarious and eerie with one of the most distinct vocal styles in hip-hop. If there's a complaint it's that there are too many songs about partying and not enough about killing people(those songs are the best ones).
