Sampaio's classic debut. Still the record he's (barely) remembered for.
Unfortunately he didn't achieve the mainstream success of his friend Raul Seixas (the last song on this album is a 50 second vignette named after him), with whom he released the fantastic group record "Sociedade da Grã-Ordem Kavernista Apresenta Sessão das 10" in the previous year. He was a more sophisticated lyricist than Raul, but lacked his greater pop sensibility, his daring mix of genres and his flamboyant image _ Sampaio was "just another hippie" in that regard, and his voice is not memorable either.
But as a songwriter, he was great and this album is full of good songs. Definitely worth a listen, especially if you can understand the lyrics.
