A solid album but I prefer others. Not in my top 3.
Total garbage? I don't know how anyone can say that about this album. Car Wheels on a Gravel Road probably is better, but I really enjoy West as well.

Solid album top to bottom. Good songwriting, classic Lucinda vocals and some of the saddest and eeriest songs in her catalog. Songs like "Where Is My Love" and "What If" amongst others are stellar. Basically the opposite of what Romanelli spewed.

Especially considering the quality of Lucinda's body of work before this album, West is total garbage. This sounds like the one record she did NOT sober up for before recording. Lousy songs, horrible writing, awful vocals. One of the more disappoining albums of the decade.
