Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.7/100, a mean average of 75.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.2.

A decent album but not spectacular. My highlights are Nursery Rhyme, Bloodstain and The Knock Pt 2 (even with Mike D trying his best to ruin it).
I recall buying this on CD when it first came out and at the time (1998) it sounded fresh , exciting and compelling
Some 20 years later as I write this in 2018 unfortunately time has been less kind & when I re-listened to this album recently I was left wondering what all the fuss was about , especially lead single "Lonely Soul"
I had one of those musical "Oh Yeah , I forgot about that " moments when Tom Yorkes "Rabbit In Your Headlights" came on , its clearly the standout moment here . Its noteworthy as it is one the first recorded songs he completed post OK
Not the worst album by any stretch but I've moved on
Its Not You Its Me ......
50/100
Hurts my brain, but keeps my attention. A compelling record.
This is very good folks!
No sure why this gets written off. Great record. Good guests incl thom yorke, badly drawn boy, ashcroft, mike d, kool g rap. No liam gallagher or ian brown though! Although one of the inst tracks off this was released as a single with an ian brown vocal.
Great record very eclectic with vocals from Richard Ashcroft , Ian Brown, Thom York, Liam Galager and mixing by Dj Shadow check it out .
