Not my favourite Basement Jaxx album but it's okay

These guys have their own consistent house style despite of, and as a result of, the multitude of guest vocalists that adorn their club-ready jams. "scars" has this dramatic vacuum synth effect that Kelis rises above. Sam sparro gives "feelings gone" its upbeat-yet-coping soul. "my turn" features thumping bass and a plaintive delivery from lightspeed champion. "what a girl gotta do" sounds like old school basement jaxx (feat. Paloma faith). But this time around, the best track is the self-sung "raindrops". Yoko Ono withstanding, this is one hot club rekkid. Spin this album to spin your booty.
