Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 19% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 78.0/100, a mean average of 76.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 16.8.

My least favourite track on the album but it proved to be a big hit. The keys sound dated, probably the guitar comes out best and that's minimal.
Average pop once again: cheesy lyrics about a complicated relationship, tender vocals, big hit on the Hot 100. What makes it stick out in the mind is how smooth it is. This is easy-listening, adult-contemporary balladry to the max. Definitely a standout track if you're into that kind of thing. But there's just not a whole lot exciting going on here. Like I said before, standard pop.
In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock.
Great song. Probably the beginning of the style Phil Collins is famous for.
