Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 6% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 80.4/100, a mean average of 78.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 16.2.

The thing with Ringo songs is that they're usually pretty compelling musically. And then he just has the corniest lyrics. You're either into it or you're not. This is certainly one of the more winning tracks.
I hated this song growing up, but it's definitely grown on me a lot.
Wish that had just been a single too like some others have said. Rain would have better !.
I kind of like it though
Only bad song on this album is Doctor Robert. The two separate styles of John and Paul on this album make it very unique, I can’t decide if this is the best Beatles album though. All of the grumpy people on this site who think they’re musical professors love to hate the Ringo songs. Yellow Submarine is better than Doctor Robert for sure. It’s a very unique song and it’s for kids. My least favorite part is all of the interruptions in the song like the banter between Paul and John pretending to be submarine operators (I don’t know what the proper term for a submarine operator is, maybe the scholars on this website can help me with that). This album would be perfect if they scrapped Doctor Robert and put Rain or Paperback Writer on here. 9.9/10
Some find it difficult to value this song. Childish but especially strange. A sing along? You should try to look a little further: the beatles had fun when they recorded this song. You can hear that very well throughout the entire song. I have always seen The Beatles' humor (and especially Lennon must have been incredibly happy) as a style characteristic. Essential. I wish I could have been there in the recording studio at the time.
Símbolo da banda e de todo movimento psicodélico dos anos 60!
The deadweight that brings down Revolver- had the Beatles swapped this song with Paperback Writer and/or rain, Revolver would be the undisputed greatest album of all time.
When we were kids my brother and I absolutely LOVED this song. We heard it every time in the car, it was driving our parents mad. Today I understand why they were annoied by the song, but I will always love it for my childhood memories.
The obligatory quirky Ringo song on Revolver :P I understand why some people hate it, but it is still a funny song with some nice musical elements!
Finally the Beatles have a song that is perfect for Ringo. After having to accommodate their drummer with a vocal contribution on most of their albums, meaning we have to endure awful moments like, act naturally, and, what goes on, on Revolver, we at last have something that Ringo's limited vocal range and character can work with. Yes, it's a children's song, yes, it's totally silly, but those are the kind of moments that would not have worked so well had Lennon or McCartney sang it. And there is not many Beatles songs you can say that about. It's a great little track, maybe the kind that only the Beatles can get away with, I mean, can you imagine the Rolling Stones singing this? No, of course not. Yellow submarine, shows the strength of the Beatles. They could do it all.
