Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 3% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 82.6/100, a mean average of 83.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.9/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.6.

This is a great track but it causes me problems. As good as the first part is I don't believe it fits with the rest of the album. Especially when it breaks into the semi classical element a third of the way through. This lack of a cohesive direction on DP's first 3 albums caused infighting in the band and I can understand why. I don't mind using classical elements in a song to embellish it but what we have here literally dominates the first half of the track. The second half is virtually a separate song. Two great halves but not a great whole.
Wonderful!
