Oh and I listened to that Badho album, Mecca. It was pretty amazing indeed! The dramatic operatic vocals and the way they were recorded (or something) reminded me so so much of Tim Buckley. And his dynamic free flowing guitar was fantastic throughout. I think the time has come to learn more about this Robbie Basho fella, and to revisit your American Primitivism Genre Extravaganza. Thanks!
Still, I need more time with it before it's a fave although it very well may become one. It's still not able to make me cry and need a change of shorts and want to go on a long and introspective road trip through America all at the same time like Car Wheels On A Gravel Road does _________________ -Ryan

I knew you'd be a fan! Yeah, definitely listen to more Basho. His early stuff is quite great too. Some is instrumental and some features those wild vocals. And I definitely agree about the comparison to Buckley's style, although Basho's vocals are a bit less restrained. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
