True Colours by Split Enz

Well, significant to a few members.

A majority of the release dates for True Colours were in 1980 and most sites list it as 1980. I bought the vinyl today and it says 1979. And on Discogs it has a release as 1979.

Do we keep it as 1980 or 1979?

The album was recorded in 1979. The only place I can find that shows a release date of 1979 is Discogs. Everywhere else (including the official Tim Fin / Split Enz website) says 1980. There is even a widely used official release date of June 25, 1980.

Based on this info, it looks to me like you have a recorded date of 1979, and an official release date of 1980.
