Although still very good, I used to rank it as my least favorite Simone album among the 4-5 ones I've heard. That thread about the Pitchfork 60s list made me want to check it out again. Let's see. That flashy pink cover is really horrendous though ugh
Edit : so yeah, didn't change my mind. It's obviously a great record, and some tracks like Lilac Wine, Why Keep On Breaking My Heart and of course the title track are wonderful, I still prefer High Priestess Of Soul or Pastel Blues. Couldn't put my finger on why exactly though.
Edit II : OK I commented before the final track. That one's amazing. What a way to close a record.
