Love this one, especially the first 3 songs but I gotta say it fell out of my top 100.

The best Nick Cave album I’ve heard. It’s a rare 9 from Scaruffi and one of the albums that makes me want to hear most things old Piero recommends. Lucy is an incredible closer. I think there is an emotional clarity and depth that surpasses later work like the Boatman’s Call, which I previously would have said is their best. I definitely recommend people check it out, if they had skipped it.

I listen to this album almost every Christmas. No idea why and how this started, but it's a tradition now. Not even the best 90s Cave record to me, but the first 2 songs are among his best album cuts. It's a consistently awesome album and might be the best one to start your Nick Cave journey.
