Absolutely classic record. Newman was a very interesting, unique, cynical Songwriter. There was no one quite like him. Just love this albums whole feel. The song "God's Somg" is absolutely brilliant in every way. That's the song that got me deeply into early Randy Newman. But really this album is chock full of classic tunes - "Sail Away", "You Can Leave Your Hat On", Memo To My Son", "Dayton, Ohio - 1903", "Lonely at the Top" "Simon Smith...", etc etc are all masterclass. Yeah, I love it. It should probably be on my chart, actually.
