Prefer Low, as it seems the majority do. However, this album is still brilliant. I particularly like the first side. I think the ambient pieces are a little weaker than Low, but the pop/rock songs are on par, or better depending on my mood.

Highlights: Heroes, Sons of the Silent Age, Beauty and the Beast

Ah yes, the rare, INCRESIBLY rare, albummaster wrror in posting. Still a legend. It shows he still somewhat human (but mostly superhuman) and this gives me hope.

I really like this album. More than Low actually. Became maybe my favorite Bowie album in the last year or 2. While overplayed, touted, and covered, the song "Heroes" truly is a minor miracle of music.

Love this album. One of my favorites from Bowie. I think I prefer this one to Low but it's tough. The album covers (and their respective colors) depict the feeling of the music from each record very well in my opinion. Heroes being a bit more polished and mellow. Low being more raw and a bit aggressive.

Either way both records are a big reason why Bowie is one of the all time greats.

Low may be the high point of Bowie's discography (*self five*), but "Heroes" is spectacular.

I remember giving blood the first time I heard this album. Nearly passed out. Why, you may ask? Fashion any narrative you like.

Track picks
3. Heroes
8. Moss Garden
9. Neukoln
10. The Secret Life Of Arabia

Very good, I think the instrumental pieces might be more memorable than those on Low but track 1 is a bit annoying, track 2 is useless and I can barely recall track 5, whereas the actual songs on Low are awesome.

Sons Of The Silent Age is a true highlight and of course the title track is one of his best.

It's very good, but I prefer virtually every other Bowie EP from the mid-late '70s. Something a little cold and ponderous about this one. (That's probably a little harsh, but I would sooner live without this than a good number of his others.)

Exactly, Low is not only more polished but definitely has a warmer atmosphere, while Heroes has a much colder, almost robotic atmosphere.
I prefer Low but this is still a great Bowie album, with title track being one of the most gorgeous things ever put on a tape.
