I know not everyone on this site is a fan of pop punk, but for those of you who are, what are some of your favorite Pop Punk albums?

For Me (Some of these are not 100% pop punk):

American Idiot - Green Day
The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
From Under the Cork Tree - Fall Out Boy

Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables is the greatest of all time if it qualifies. It's certainly influenced by Surf Punk/Rock and is one of the catchiest/most infectious albums of all time, but it might be too close to the hardcore end of things to truly count. Major influence on Green Day though (but far far superior).

The only punk pop album I've found so far that I like is The Buzzcocks' Singles Going Steady. It's a compilation, but most of the songs were only on singles.

Man talk about the boring crowd coming in and trying to talk about shit bands like kennedys and buzzcocks.

Besides the major ones like blink, green day, taking back sunday, fallout boy, jimmy eat world, etc.,

I think the best groups are the following (in no order whatsoever:

Saves the Day
Say anything
The thermals
Gatsbys american dream
Iron chic
The Get Up Kids
Latterman
The Bouncing Souls
Alkaline Trio
Motion city soundtrack
Vulgaires Machins

While that is a valiant effort to connect a much better era of punk music (and I do agree it's catchy as all hell) i think that maybe these albums are a little more appropriate.

I also think you might want to look at either of these two charts by me and see how you like them

I particularly like Insomniac by Green Day. Other than that the pop punk of yesteryear is far better than the more recent stuff. But I guess it's all a matter of what you prefer. I'd say you can't go wrong with these ones here.

The Undertones- The Undertones
The Descendants- All
The Rezillos. Can't Stand the Rezillos
Stiff Little Fingers- Imflammable Material
Blondie- Plastic Letters or Blondie
The Adverts- Crossing the Red Sea With the Adverts
Teenage Head- Teenage Head
The Shoes- Black Vinyl Shoes
XTC- Drums and Wires or White Music
Fingerprintz- The Very Dab
Social Distortion- Prison Bound or Social Distortion
Buzzcocks- A Different Kind of Tension
Agent Orange- Living in Darkness
The Photos- The Photos
