Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A couple of pretty good tunes, but ultimately this ain't all that great. Repetitive tunes, posing lyrics, and pretty bad singing. Avoid the bonus track version with an acoustic version of Misery Business that is less than good.
Even with After Laughter now under Paramore's belt, I still feel this is their strongest album. Their success can be attributed to the fact that Paramore knew which songs were destined to be hit singles in the music scene post-Fall Out Boy's breakthrough success two years prior. While the three hit singles are probably the strongest offerings on the album, Miracle is the strongest of the deep cuts and I feel a case can be made that it should have been a single as well.

Misery Business and Born for This, god damn they still feel so good. Otherwise I still enjoy this plenty, earnest but gigantic pop-punk very much of it's time, even if it often can feel a little too borrowed and cheesy for it's own good. Guess that just fits with the era (Edited)
Excellent album which in my opinion is their best. Brilliant all the way through, with some quality songs such as Thats what you get, Misery Business, Hallelujah and Crushcrushcrush. (Edited)
