Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.8/100, a mean average of 74.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.9.

Man, so much nostalgia from high school. I probably have listened to this thing 100 times. It can have a 6 even though I feel like that's pretty high for a bunch of power chords and generic vocals. It has some strong songs in between the massive amount of uninspired pop-punk filler. If the songs has any more musical variation beyond muted power chords and sugary overused vocal melodies I'd be inclined to be swept up more in the nostalgia and less distracted from the artistic limitations here.
It has a lot of problems. As much as I love piano ballads, a lot of songs don't need to turn into them at the last second. I can forgive Which To Bury: Us Or The Hatchet (the best song on the album) for doing that since it fades into a piano ballad but other really good songs such as Be My Escape and I So Hate Consequences have no business doing it. And sometimes the lyrics get cheesy but in the end, it's still irresistibly catchy and you'll sing the songs for days after listening the first time.
Highlights: Be My Escape, High of 75, I So Hate Consequences, Which To Bury: Us Or The Hatchet, Who I Am Hates Who I've Been and Maintain Consciousness
GREAT album!
Not one bad song, many fantastic ones! <3

he can write some pretty clever lyrics every now an then. and some pretty hard pressing ones.
"And today I will trust you with the confidence
Of a man who's never known defeat
But tomorrow, upon hearing what I did
I will stare at you in disbelief
Oh, inconsistent me
Crying out for consistency"

Catchiest Christian-y album since DC Talk's "Jesus Freak".
Mixed by Tom Lord-Alge ? Weird.
