I can't believe I'm saying this, but this album is slightly overrated. It's pretty good, but not nearly as much as Ride the Lightning or MoP.
The thing is, this album is just too over-produced. It doesn't have the soul that those other records had.
Still very good, though.

Great album, but unfortunately it sounds like Metallica's trying way too hard throughout. Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are much better.

Absolutely. It seems as if they were trying to live up to their own reputation, where on earlier work, they sounded more free.

You must think that the more people like a song, the worse it gets.
You should listen to my number 1 album. Few people have heard it, so you'll love it!

Maybe they made the black album because they realized that no matter how hard they tried, they wouldn't be able to make another Master of Puppets.

i don't really think one is the worst song, i probably think it is the 3rd worst song. i am just trying to balance out the bullshit. _________________ "I would expect something wrong with the poll if the chart favorite was not the poll winner" - naples 12-8-11
