It's a solid 8 to 8.5 level record for me. Ill revisit it and get a better opinion of it. Aomori really solid songwriting.

Perhaps one of the most overrated albums I've found on BEA. I just don't see what makes it intriguing or quality or original enough to be top 40 all time material?!

It's interesting. This album really grabbed my attention the first time I heard it while Definitely Maybe really didn't, but now I consider Definitely Maybe to be the vastly superior album of the two. I think this album just hits really hard. "Hello" is one of my favorite opening tracks and probably my favorite Oasis song, and "Champagne Supernova" is likewise one of the strongest closers, but what comes in between doesn't really measure up to their debut. Sure, there are still some classics here; "Some Might Say", "She's Electric", and "Morning Glory" are all great tunes. "Wonderwall" is good but overrated, as is "Don't Look Back in Anger". "Roll with It" is good but gets tiresome really quickly, and my opinion of "Cast No Shadow" changes practically daily (I tend to enjoy it, though). "Hey Now" is the only really weak track here. It's just not very interesting, which would be all right if it were a short song, but it's the second longest song on the album, clocking in at nearly 6 minutes. The untitled tracks are just kind of there. They don't really add anything, but I don't really mind them. Overall it's a pretty dang good album, but a little high on our overall chart.

This.

Excellent review, swedenman. Not too hateful and their debut is definitely (maybe Laughing) superior, though this one contains my second favourite Oasis song: "Champagne Supernova", the song that got me hooked on Oasis in the first place.

Didn't we recently have a discussion about how Oasis shouldn't be in the Top 20?
