YEEEEEAAAAH. Second best album ever! My favorite tracks are Go Your Own Way and Gold Dust Woman. I spent 11 years of my life with these songs. This album wouldn't havebeen the same if it weren't for Stevie Nick's unique voice and Lindsay Buckingham's voice and guitar. So much was put into this magnum opus blending rock, pop, folk, emotion, and beauty to equal one of the greatest intangible things in the universe: perfection.
I think this is the first non-compilation album I've ever heard, right before Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. It all started with a tribute album for me, and I eventually came to realize the hard work put into this album. What would the world be without this album?

A fucking masterpiece. Best pop-rock album ever. Also, Lindsey Buckingham is a very underrated guitar player. Peter Green gets all the Fleetwood Mac guitar playing praise, but Buckingham is just so damn tasteful in his playing. _________________

Wow! Album of the Day has been on a roll lately! This is the 3rd day in a row it's featured an album in my top 50... Maybe that means I'm a musical conformist...?
Anyway, there's no denying the craft and art and jut COMPLETENESS of this work. This album is not good, but great from start to finish. There is no misplaced elements I hear in this album.
It's weird because not only is it essentially as close to perfect as you'll get in pop music ALBUMS but also each individual song works quite well alone as evidenced by how many recognizable hits came off here.
It's emotional, it's passionate, nuanced and balanced, man I really adore this album!
Thanks Albummaster! _________________ -Ryan

Very good album, but it's falling further down my charts over time, just removed from my top 100. _________________

The equivalent of a classic work of art you often come back revisiting and it always gives a familiar feeling. Apart from Buckingham's monstrous guitar playing like Jason stated, apart from the beautiful, siren-alike voice of Nicks, apart from the various influences mostly from country and folk music, this justifies its everlasting popularity through the passage of time because it is very easy to relate to. Just take a look at the lyrics to Don't Stop; when you're not in the mood they might sound corny or cheesy, but during harsh times, that's when they reveal their cathartic power. Or The Chain-damn, personal experience drove them to such inspiration, you can feel the pain, especially if you've been there before. The tunes are beautiful, when they are flirting with pure rock they always maintain a gentle balance and vary from cheerful and fun (You Make Loving Fun, underrated even though it was a single) to anxious and edgy (the classic Go Your Own Way, The Chain of course, a favorite of mine after repeated listens). And the mellow moments, they are just beautiful-Dreams is easily among the greatest songs of the '70s, Never Going Back Again has that insanely catchy acoustic guitar rhythm. I'm not giving it a 100 because the two last songs always come as disappointing to my ears, but I would be an ungrateful bastard to say this spoils such a great piece of music a lot.

Nice post. I love those last two songs though, especially Gold Dust Woman. It's very mystical. _________________

A little bit overhyped, but it's still an exceptionally good pop record. _________________
