I was just listening to Zevon's debut last night. It was quite good. Good maybe even great songwriter. His voice sorta irks me, especially at first. Excitable Boy is pretty dope. Besides those first 2 albums of his I've also heard The Wind. Also quite good.
Anyway, I've not heard any of his competition here. So no vote yet. Later I'll vote when I have some data. _________________ -Ryan
Never heard any Warren Zevon but seriously not much can beat Jacaszek. His much is transcendental. I'll abstain or go listen to some Warren Zevon or something.
I like both but am not a huge fan of either. That said, I haven't given Jacaszek as much attention as I've given Zevon as he's been a relatively recent discovery. I'll listen to a bunch of Jacaszek and then decide.
I used to be way into Warren Zevon. Not so much anymore, but I still enjoy his work quite a bit. It's thoughtful but he never takes himself too seriously; pleasantly camp at time. That said, Jacaszek by miles. My favorite electroacoustic (if you can really pigeonhole him like that) save for The Books
