Has anyone else noticed how often the song London Calling is uses in tv shows and movies where Americans travel to England?
It's a dark song yet has been used in light hearted things like Friends, what a girl wants with Amanda bynes (don't judge me...)
And a few others. Why that song? Is it the most affordable to use? I don't get it but it's interesting nevertheless
I think it's just a super cool and distinctive pop rock record. I mean it's so cool the way it just marches out and starts off with such a simple direct and almost militaristic lock step strut. Also "London" and "London CALLING" so people hear that and are like "oh! Like they're in England now! Sweeeeeet! _________________ -Ryan
I remember dancing to this song when it came out. Some punk poured a glass of beer over my head. He was so disgusted with the song. They made "London’s burning" he said. And now they have sold out, making a pop record.
I still like it. But it is true, overusage can kill every song. _________________ When the stewardess is near do not show any fear.
