A fistful of recs that haven't been mentioned yet (I think), and that I really like very much:

The Pirate's Gospel by Alela Diane

Superwolf by Matt Sweeney & Bonnie 'Prince' Billy

Hips And Makers by Kristin Hersh

A bit debatable, this one, as one could argue it sounds more like rock songs played on an acoustic guitar. I do think most of the album qualifies, though.

12 Crass Songs by Jeffrey Lewis

Crass songs covered in a folk manner. Brilliant.

There Is No-One What Will Take Care Of ...e Brothers

Kicking A Couple Around by Smog

Only an EP, but Smog's best record. Also check Bill Callahan.

I agree with benpaco in saying that I need to specify what I've listened to, and I apologise for having to work with so little, thank you all for the recommendations regardless. To add insult to injury, I listened and loved most of Sufjan Stevens' albums, some of Cat Power's, pretty much everything by Iron & Wine (especially Our Endless Numbered Days) and finally, all of Tallest Man on Earth's. I need to get my shit together, I suppose. To reiterate I vastly appreciate every contribution made here and I look forward to any more possible.

Once I Was An Eagle by Laura Marling

Alas, I Cannot Swim by Laura Marling

If You're Willing to Delve into more country-ish stuff

Southeastern by Jason Isbell

Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg & Wilco

And this isn't really indie at all but it's really good

John Prine by John Prine

Some that might be up your alley (a lot of what I would recommend has already been recommended XD)

I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning by Bright Eyes

Several Shades Of Why by J Mascis

Elliott Smith by Elliott Smith

(Really any Elliott Smith, but this is my favorite)

A couple others that may not exactly fit that tag, but I think you'd like if you're digging Indie Folk atm:

Pink Moon by Nick Drake

Sung Tongs by Animal Collective

(beware of this last one; you'll love it or you'll hate it)
