For that and that alone, we will be forever greatful for those mumford sons. This music still feels like getting a slow, tortrous death by Wal-Mart brand white bread.

okay, new rule:

if an album is rated lower than all surrounding albums for dozens of pages, but has a higher ranking, it NEVER GETS TO BE ALBUM OF THE DAY. ever.

EDIT: the replacement AOTD is Gang of Four's Entertainment

I think it's pretty sickening at times. I feel like there's nothing particularly going on here. And so many of the songs build up to these ridiculous melodramatic hoedowns. It's not good.

I like the album. Those "ridiculous melodramatic hoedowns" as Mercury put it only enhanced my listening experience, but doesn't keep the album from becoming stale if I listen to it more than once in a blue moon.

Yeah this my main problem with the album, they never let a quiet song just be quiet, they always have to explode into a big cacophony. It's like Mumford treat their listeners like they have ADHD - from memory there's only one song here that doesn't have build up.

I think that I used to like this album is a large part of why I don't like it now. Makes me cringe.

Alright, The Cave has a good melody.
