I am surprisingly not a big Doors fan given my affinity for music between 1966 and 1973 this is shocking to many. I do however really like this album particularly peace frog blue sunday sequence

I feel absolutely the same. That is my favourite music period, and The Doors were always a solid band which I moderately enjoyed, but I've never been really impressed by them. Also their debut album is probably among the most overrated ever my book.

Ditto on Doors sentiments Sounded great when I was young but Morrison comes across as a bit of a pretentious d.h to older ears and as RS mag said the band itself had "pedestrian chops". In their defence the bands sound did maturer towards the end. This and especially L.A Woman are pretty decent albums.

There was a time when I felt like Morrison was an ass. Especially when he screamed about anal sex on live sets and the such.

Emotionally and conceptually though, I do think he touches areas yet to be rivaled.

The opening two tracks are 100/100 for me. The rest of this album minus another track or two is just slightly above average though. 80/100 overall.
