You may have noticed that in books or magazines, for basic stylistic reasons, sentences don't all start by "my opinion is.." or "I think.."
Same apply on internet threads.

Yes, and it's often more interesting to make an objective claim- like you are trying to persuade others that your opinion should really be the consensus view, which is always controversial but is a potential conversation starter.

Being subjective definitely has its place in music writing e.g. when it links to autobiography. But you are right that this style is way less common in both journalism and on internet threads.

to be clear: this is just my opinion - i think we should stay away from stating anything subjective without clarifying that it's an opinion. and we should probably apologize too (in case someone disagrees with us). i'm sorry if you disagree with me on this, though i feel it's very important, and you're welcome to disagree with me, since this is only my opinion, but these are my feelings on the matter, and they're clearly not facts.

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

I will never understand this ridiculous notion that we have to preface every single statement we make with "in my opinion". Is the fact that we are saying these things not in itself the proof that it is our opinion? The people who get up in arms about "you should clarify that this is your opinion" just instead scream "I want you to condescend me like I'm a four year old."

Anyway, Parklife is amazing. Pre-Song 2 Blur is the best Britpop had to offer.
