The Stoner Rock genre is deceiving. It's often more serious and progressive than the genre name might describe. Many types of bands are put into the category though. Some are better off elsewhere. I'm personally not much into the more Doom-like, or seemingly Sabbath influenced. Nothing against it at all, but I'm aiming to list, or talk about, the bands that are more ambient or Floyd-like. The space rock bands, and the bluesy and melodic. I'm also looking to be turned on to those I might be unfamiliar with. List favorite stoner-like bands and/or albums of the past decade. These are a mere few of mine, in no special order:

In Her Garden by Colour Haze

Longing To Be the Mountain by King Buffalo
Very Floyd-ish. Love it!

The Gold & Silver Sessions by Elder
I'm not sure how this was received by longtime Elder fans; but it's my favorite by far. It's certainly a diversion for them, as it sounds more like Pat Metheny on a mind trip, as compared to what came before it, the more hard rock stoner Elder material. I love this, and I wish DiSalvo and company would do more of it.

ATW by All Them Witches
Very melodic, hard and soft, and even very bluesy in places, like the song "Harvest Feast."

Tre by The Devil & The Almighty Blues
I many have chose "II" instead, maybe, but it's not listed yet in BEA. Great stoner material here anyway, very melodic, deep and bluesy.

Snowy Dunes by Snowy Dunes - not listed yet, but Stoner Rock probably doesn't get much stoner than this. Melodic, bluesy, spacey. Nice.

Got some for me?

Seven Thunders Roar by Stoned Jesus
This one's a favourite.

Naxatras by Naxatras
This one's more stoner jam than space rock

Psychic Warfare by Clutch
I guess Clutch counts too?

Good one. Thanks! The other two I was aware of. Cool choices!
