Yesterday in music (4/10), Paul McCartney announced that The Beatles were breaking up. Sorry to mismatch dates, but you didn't have one yesterday.

Depending on who you are, that is either a mournful day or a celebratory one. But yeah, for me I would say it had to end, and it did before they started sucking, so YAY!

I've always felt that "Disintegration" was comparitively unimpreaaivw compared to "Faith". I've only heard those 2 in full, and Faith is BY FAR a better record. Disintegration goes on too long and just wears out its welcome after 45 minutes.

Gonna go listen to Wowee Zowee later to celebrate it! Yay!

I like both Disintegration and Faith lots; both are truly solid albums, but I have to say that Disntegration has better stand-alone songs. That being said, Pornography has been my favorite Cure album for some time...

As far as Pavement, I also incredibly enjoy Wowee Zowee, but it doesn't hold a candle to Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain or even Slanted and Enchanted, in my opinion.

Love your taste! Yeah I personally may just have not been in the right state of mind for Disintegration last time I heard it. I finally checked it out because of the adoration it seems to get all over this site. I remember at about 45 minutes wondering, as I read a book, what is so special about this? I agree i remember it had some really cool stand out tracks. Need to revisit eventually. Way way interested in Pornography. That doesn't sound right. No, but I will give that a try if it's like Faith ill probably love it.

And yeah, Crooked Rain is so brilliant! That is the only Pavement album in my chart. Like Slanted and Wnchanted a lot as well. Need to delve deeper into Wowee Zowee.
