Ibaka is a big loss for the Raps. Difference maker, and a fashion icon. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

Love Ibaka, I've been a big fan of his since the OKC days. Very underrated player in the grand scheme of things, he was an invaluable part of every team he went to. I can't help but slightly like the Clippers now, even with all of the stuff that went down last year. Zubac, Ibaka, Kawhi are cool dudes. Meanwhile Montrelz Harrell and Gasol are as different as you can get at the 5 position. One is slow, passive but very smart and defensively sound player who can pop, roll and pass and the other is "the energy guy", exclusively pick and rolls with good interior scoring, solid ball handling, and weak D. And neither had a good postseason. Interesting pairing. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

Kinda scary that the Lakers, already the best team, are winning the off season too. With a few more adjustments they will be an unstoppable juggernaut -- they might be anyway (assuming no major injuries to LeBron, Davis...).
I am a little bit concerned about their perimeter D with the loss of Bradley, Rondo, Green, and then Howard protecting the key with his blocks and rebounding. Bradley and Howard were their 2 most consistent defensive players after Davis. Rondo was their 2nd best in the playoffs. (Lebron is still a great defensive player in spurts and key moments but not as consistent due mostly to age/mileage and the load he carries offensively as a PG and scorer)
However the addition of Montrez Harrel (!!!), and now probably Marc Gasol (!!!) with the re-sign of Anthony Davis, makes them absolutely terrifying otherwise.
Overall, the addition of Schroeder could be a huge sign, at least offensively and in relieving LeBron. He is a younger more consistent performer than Rondo, if maybe not in the playoffs, and unlikely to equal him defensively.
The re-sign of Markeif Morris is essential for their depth.
They may be able to compensate for the loss of perimeter D if Kuzma, Caldwell Pope, Wesley Matthews, Morris, can (with their youth and/or athleticism and tenacity) approximate 2/3 to 3/4ths of what they had before. Kuzma was (perhaps surprisingly) coming on as a defensive menace in the playoffs and will likely be called on to keep doing so next year. Combined with their interior-to mid range D being the best in the NBA with the Gasol and Harrel additions beside the already formidable Davis. They could also flip Kuzma in a deal for a very good 3 and D player (or maybe 2). _________________ Best Classical

I thought that most people (including Lakers fans) weren't too happy with Kuzma's performances last postseason? It's hard to say how good he was on the D since he had Davis and the others to cover for him, but I thought he was ok-ish in that respect and subpar otherwise. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

True - I am mixed about him (and assume many others are too). I think its more a confusion of his role than a lack of talent or drive. Perhaps it will be more clear this year and he'll be a more stable performer. He started to pick up his defense towards the latter 1/2 of the playoffs. It remains to be seen of that can translate to a majority of the season. I dont really have any issue with trading him (which I think is definitely on the table) so long as it translates into a good-to-very good 3 and D player or 2. Though Matthews was a very solid pick up, thats all theyre kind of short on at this point and the only hole (besides injuries) that could realistically stop them from a repeat. _________________ Best Classical
